Saturday morning, July 7th, you can get an introduction to a hyperbaric chamber and make an actual "dry" dive to 130 feet in the only 12-man chamber in the area.
Learn about the history of hyperbaric medicine, what the chamber is used for (unbending scuba divers is only a tiny fraction of what they do) and get first hand experience by "taking a ride" to 5 atmospheres with a group of divers. You'll see real-world demonstrations of Boyle's Law and get to experience narcosis in a very controlled environment.
Participants must be certified as PADI Open Water Divers (or equivalent), must be at least 15 years old and a medical release is required. This isn't just for fun - you'll also earn a PADI Orientation to Recompression Chamber Operations Specialty certification.
To sign up or for more information call (708) 226-1614.
