...After considering selling my gun collection and working more off duty, I've decided to begin putting together a tech rig/ doubles, hopefully to be completed winter 07/ early spring 08...right now I'm leaning toward Oxycheq stuff...

Currently diving APEKS w/ Steel 120...

I only get to the ocean once a year...but recently purchased a camper shell for my truck...after 20 years of 'extreme camping' in the Army I hope to make my 2008 dive season between the Great Lakes and Gulf...have air will travel...

Also looking to get tech instuction the closest I can to Arkansas...

I'm not sure what level Slim teaches up to, but I could highly recommend him for tech. Also, Ozark Dive Company in Poplar Bluff, talk to Ed.

Thanks, after an exhaustive search on the internet I found Ozark/ Poplar Bluff (a mere 181 miles from me and clearly in the acceptable range)...plus I've been trying to lure Slim down here for months...

Any thoughts on the Oxycheq? I've checked out Scububa's rig and like it...

I did my tec rec with Ed, and will be doing trimix with him next month. I like him a lot for that.

I am not familair with Oxycheq. I have mostly DiveRite, and it is working out good for me. Not saying anything good or bad about it, I just dont know. Like we tell OW students, look around, and ask different people about different set ups, and go from there.

All the Oxycheq gear I have seen has been top-notch. Like Bob, I am more of a DiveRite fan. Ed at Ozark Dive Co. is a DiveRite dealer. I also own a Halcyon wing, due to being offered a great deal on it just when I needed one, and I like it, too--like it even better now that I have removed the H logo from it--LOL!

Like TheSkull, I got into Oxycheq because I found a great deal at the right time. I have liked it enough to have purchased more items from Duffy.

I started with a single wing setup. Then I got the Razor and a gas (Oxygen) analyzer from them. The first came from a shop, the rest I ordered directly. The shop thing was a special order that a customer didn't pickup so they wanted to clear them out.

So far, very happy with the stuff. I really like the 360 wing and would consider that no matter the brand. Most seem to be coming out with it now.

I think SLIM might actually be working with the Poplar Bluff shop on offering some Tech training. But, he is just up the road from you, so between GF and TRL, you should be able to get something going with him.

You should PM him and inquire. Right now is pretty busy for them, so he might not be on the board as much, but he will see the PM notice, I bet.
