Can anybody recommend a good dive op for any of the other great lakes? Obviosuly it wont be as fun or entertaining as the Enterprise, but I want to take my chances. Thanks in advance.

Where are you looking at? I've got a couple for some different places.

You're talking about a lot of ground. Here is a very short list of a few of my favorites - the boats aren't always pretty but the operators are top notch and they have access to some incredible diving...

Two Rivers, WI: Shipwreck Adventures (http://www.shipwreckadventures.com/)
Milwaukee, WI: Nordic Diver (http://www.nordicdiver.com/)
Tobermorey, ON: G & S Watersports (http://www.gswatersports.com/)
St. Ignace, MI: Straits Scuba (http://www.straitsscuba.com/)

The only op reefraff mentions that I have been with is Shipwreck Adventures, Greg Such's boat, and he is top-notch.
Planning a little road trip, Bob?

I haven't made it to the other GLs yet, but these are two that came well recommended and I was planning to book with when the timing worked out....

Sanilac Shores, Lake Huron, MI - http://www.rectecdivecharters.com/

Isle Royale (Fairmont, MN)- http://www.rltdivers.com/

Rec & Tec Dive Charters is a great op on Lake Huron. They run out of Port Sanilac. http://www.rectecdivecharters.com/

I have a dive buddy that really enjoys driving, and we would like to log dives in all the great lakes, just as a mini goal to accomplish. We do realize that some of these are going to be quite a haul, but what good is a goal if its easily accomplished?

My wife has a sister that lives in Cleveland. We've been talking about taking a trip to see her and while she spends "quality family time" visiting, I hit the lake.

I've done some looking into it and it turns out there is at least one attractive looking charter that goes out of there. It's a 2 day diving deal and you spend the night across the shore in Canada.

This is definatly on the TODO list. I've talked about it with Ken and his wife also has family in the area so he is interested.

You and your buddy would make 4 which might be enough to get a boat out.

My wife's sister lives in Cincinatti. Any excuse to get out of "quality family time" is welcome.:D

What types of diving are you looking for - Rec or tec, or both. Give me a call if I cannot help you out I'll give you a few more numbers to try.
One of the best recreational trips we do each year is Mackinaw City Mi, you can dive both Lake Michigan and Huron on the same day!
We also do techincal trips to , Superior, Huron and Of Michigan, but you have all ready btdt lake.

I would be happy with rec or tec, however I am not trimix certified yet, and my buddy isnt tec certified yet, so I guesse for now, that leaves rec.
