The NACD is looking for Regional Safety Officers (RSO). The RSO is a cave diver and member of NACD (cheap). The duites are like keeping track of cave safety conditions, state of the lines, signage, give safety talks to local groups (divers and general public), and such as that. You may also be called upon by local officials to help with problems associated with local caves, act as contact person for accidents, etc.
you don't get paid, the NACD is all-volunteer, not-for-profit. I don't mean to plug one organization over any others, just letting everyone know what's up.
Oh, and you file quarterly reports, and hopefully attend a meeting every once in awhile, usually held down in cave country florida.
