Anybody plan on furthering their education this year with new classes?

I always try to take at least one class every year to learn something new. I'm thinking about GUE Tech 1, TDI Advanced Trimix, or TDI Adv Nitrox & Deco Instructor.

I feel like I have over-classed the last few years. I plan to just dive and teach and enjoy.
I guess I already did one new repair seminar this year, so maybe I already violated my plan:D

Yeah, I think I might slow down on the classes too and put some of that hard earned ($$$) knowledge to use. :D

I hope to finally get my AOW out of the way. My goal would be DM eventually - I don't know that I'll get that done this year but it can't hurt to be optimistic.

If I can find time between working the day job and teaching open water classes I would like to do the TDI Advanced Nitrox and Deco Proc. w/ Capt. Dale.

I paln on doing Trimix this fall ,and would like to do some kind of rebreather class sometime this year. I dont plan on buying one, or diving one very often, but I would like to learn more theory behind it, and also get in a few dives for the experience with one.

I am teaching the Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures course starting on Friday April 13th. That's this Friday. There are still two openings for students in the class.

I plan to get certified to dive in my drysuit this spring. Seriously. If I need to rent one some day I may need to have the card. LOL!

Just one more card. I only need this one last card.
And maybe one more reel . . . or two . . . I'm pretty sure I could get by with just 2 more reels.
And hey, you're the one who started this discussion with the suggestive selling question of who was planning to "further their educations".

exactly, who wants to gain more knowledge, not add a piece of plastic to their collection. I think I have found your hidden agenda.

Hey Skull, let me know if I can help. LOL it will cost you some thought. Just remember, no one can have to many tanks or reels. I can think of many places you might need oh 4 or 5 reels to do the dive.

The 2 additional reels I wish I had are:
Manta Jr. -- I love my Manta Sr. but it is a little too much to lug around on my simpler dives.
Ralph Hood Safety Reel -- I love my Ralph Hood Gap Reel and would like to have one just a little bit bigger.
I really do have "just enough" reels, but I have great appreciation for each brand and model I own and like to match them to my exact needs and desires for each dive and mission. I am a huge fan of the engineering and thought that go into many of the reels on the market, and consider some of them to be practically works of art.
Hey, is there a Dive Reel Collector certification card? That's one I wouldn't mind buying. . .

My LDS is planning its first (SSI) TechXR class sometime this summer...most of the dives will be at Lake Oachitah or Greers Ferry with the last ones being on the Oriskany...I believe I'll be in on that...
Hopefully I can finish my Dive Con this Spring...
