Will be diving Mermet the weekend of April 14-15. Am assisting with an AOW class, so I should have plenty of spare time for fun dives if anyone wishes to join me. As always at Mermet, there will be spare buddies available as well for all the diving you can handle.
Hope to see some of you there,

p.s. If you don't already know me, look for the red DiveRite wing attached to a single steel tank when I'm working the class and attached to my favorite set of doubles for my fun dives. We should be at the pavilion between the primary dock and the school bus dock.

Don't know about that weekend, Bill, but Bob and I will be there this Saturday. Just look for the handsome hunk with the DiveRite BP/wings and twin 108's.
Or you can lower your expectations and look for Bob.

Ah Ken...2 kicks and a cloud of silt. Shouldnt be hard to find you...or where you have been anyway.
I will be there both weekends, actually. I will be doing some class stuff on the 14th and 15th, but hope to have time for other dives as well.

You two are positively vicious to each other. I hope I'm along on the dive if one of you runs out of air and signals OOA to the other so I can provide the needed reg while you are flipping each other off. LOL.
And you might have to look twice to recognize me that weekend, Bob . . . with my new shop affiliation I have to wear a snorkel when working classes and that's gonna throw off my whole "look"! Only pass I get is when I'm working a Cavern class.

Mermet Dive Report:
In spite of a cold rainy weekend, we had a great weekend of diving at Mermet Springs.
Surface temp was 50 F, temp at the nose of the plane was 46 F, and it was 42 F at 80 ft. Visibility was about 5 ft. in the shallow water, 15 ft. below 40 ft., and a nice 20 ft. viz from 70 ft. on down. The larger fish have become more active, and the spoonbills were swimming around near the guide lines connecting the major attractions on the shallower side of the quarry.
There were just enough divers present for plenty of camaraderie and renewing of acquaintances without ever having to wait in line on a dock to enter the water.
Will return to Mermet for some more diving the weeekend of May 4-6, after some intervening Cavern diving and a sales meeting.
