Little Lyle starts his pool training this weekend. It will make for four divers when his open water dives are completed in May/Jun.

It's pretty exciting when your kids are diving with you. My kids were certified at 12 & 14 y/o. Although neither of them continues to dive, I enjoyed sharing it with them.

It is fun to have them dive with you. Does that mean you get to buy more gear, Lyle? 4 divers, you might as well buy a dive shop. LOL!!!

My daughter is going to start divemaster training soon. I got her materials. Just waiting until she turns 18 next month. My son thinks his ship might head to Australia. He has been saving up so he can get some diving in there if they go.

Hope Little Lyle enjoys it. Keep us posted on his adventures.

I did manage to finagle a new regulator and computer out of the deal - hopefully I can mess with them while he does his pool work.

Good for you Lyle...Me, I'm still 7.5 years from Bubble Maker.....sigh. Worst thing is I'm probably close to your age, if not older....having children so late in life does have it's downfalls ;).

That is great. I know I enjoy teaching Scuba Rangers - they absorb the info like a sponge.

Little Lyle did super - there was another boy in the class a couple years older than him but about the same size. Both of them are like fish and were very familiar with the equipment. They were usually the first done with their skills and were off goofing around while the others finished their skills.

He did good on the written test also - the only trouble he had was with the charts and I struggled with them when I took the class also.

I'll post some pictures later on -

Well I assume your son is in the last two photos. If not, you need to have a serious talk with your wife about Ken because from the first photo, I give it a 50% chance he's actually Ken's child:

It looks like there were three of Ken's kids in that first photo. You'd have to check the BC inflator hose to be absolutely sure!! :D

Woo Hoo- Dirty Tony strikes again!

Yes, I'm assuming that the 6 divers face down are students and the 3 standing are instructors/dm's. Thus the "50%" chance I quoted....

I shudder to think of the number of "unknown" pink tanked offspring there are out there  :2700: :2700:

Lyle is one of the two yellow tanks standing while the others do their surface swim....

I can honestly say I have NEVER wore a pink tank to date!!! or yet had the pleasure of diving with any one who has.....not that there is anything wrong with that!!!! ;)
