Sorry buddy, but will be at RBD Sat. Best I can give you is lake temp is about 41 or so and you will be wallking out inn some nasty mud before you get to the water. Well that is what is was about a week ago.

Keep us posted on teh conditions.

Cannonball is diveable, but challenging, with moderate flow in the entrance. We found vis of 10-15 in the cave and water temp of 55. Flow was noticeable after the restricted entrance and provided a good push on the ride out.

The lake was at the lowest level I have seen. Vis in the lake was excellent at 5-8’ and temp of 46*. The low lake level made the shore entry easier than usual (no nasty mud, pretty easy walking IMO), and we were able to find the spring without dropping a reel in the usual manner.

Since the vis was limited, we stuck to the mainline with the exception of making the jump to the left off the pit into a dead-end tunnel. Typing the jump at the triple arrows, my jump reel was two feet short. (Next time I’ll make that jump with a safety reel).

The weather man must have been on drugs, because the predicted 50* air temp and partly sunny skies never happened. As we climbed the hill after the first dive, we found my van completely covered with snow and air temp of 33. By mid-afternoon, the entire hillside was covered.

Certainly not the best conditions I have dived in, but still a good way to spend the day

Sounds like a good dive! Thanks for the report. I'm eager to get back in that one this year.

Sounds like a good time. RBD was down in flow from last weekend but the ivs was down a few feet. Like you had Steve, it sonwed and sleated on us and there was no warmning up during teh SI so after the long dive of 78 minutes we decided to just get the reel andcall it a day. Made it to the 1200' arrow in the lower tunnle with plenty of gas but the deco was going to start racking up and decided to not rack up more then we alerady had.

Looks like the weather man is saying with the chance of all the rain comming the cave systems will be blown out for several weeks or more.
