As I hinted earlier this week, I've been working on a new site.

Please feel free to visit http://www.thescubastop.com to get a peek before I start advertising/pushing the site.

I know I've talked with some of you about possibly taking on SB and I've appreaciated the advice. It is because of that that I've decided not to try to compete with SB on a diving board.

Rather this site is about content first. Yes it has a forum attached but you'll see that's the last item on the menu. This site is focusing on news, etc and aims to be a free resource with a forum attached, rather than a forum trying to grow into a diving resource.

You are all invited to be the first to see the new place before I roll it out. Any and all comments are welcome. I'd also love to see some quality articles/help from any of you.

Wow, it looks so shiny and high class. I don't feel worthy enough to surf over there. :D

Heh, well, I've learned a lot from here. A while back I offered to put a pretty face on this place but it seems the locals prefer this rusty old look ;)

Funny thing though, before this message I had told my mods (who I trust) and a couple of news vendors about the site. Yet, the word "scubaguide" is already a censored word on SB. Geez, I'm ready to let bygones be bygones but I guess I'm flattered to be considered such a threat :).

So...for $10 a pop I can point any available domain to the new site. Any other words we want to see censored over there? ;)

Hi James,

Looks like a good start.

The fins sticking out of the water on the home page looks a lot like Midwest SCUBA's billboards. ? . ?

All the "informatoin" you need in one place?

Will look closer later on.

Where does it say that? ;).

Seriously thanks, that image is next to impossible to see in the editor.

Missed two dive spots!!

http://www.naturalspringsresort.com/home-2.htm and Falling Rock...aka Joe's.
Joe's is in KY and Natural Springs is in OH. If you want more info on Joe's let me know since he doesn't have a web site.

Wally,

There should be a link at the bottom of all the dive site pages that says "Submit Site".
