I'd like to do the adv nitrox/deco class, but I'm taking a group out with Dale Bennet that weekend. Hope to catch up with ya later this year.
Don't you play where the huskies go
And don't you eat that yellow snow

We will be teaching at least every other month. I have 14 trimix students this spring, so I am going to be busy.
Look forward to diving with you when it works out.

My advice is get in a lot of dives in them before starting a class. SOme people disagree with me on this point. You want your gear to be second nature, so you can concentrate on the skills being taught during the class.

It is very good advise. We will teach you all protocals and procedures, but you need to be comfortable in the gear to learn and pass successfully.

I'm thinking of taking the class too with Greg. . . He's been "highly" recommended by Duane who I guess took a tech class, but I think we'll save the stories. hehe

I could not agree with Bob any more. I do not dive my tech gear as often as I would like, so I go to the pool and gear up before any tech diving. This allows me to get familiar with everything again. DDB and Mr. Skull have more than a few tech dives under them, but I would bet they review all of the gear and diving procedures as much as needed. Knowing your gear helps mitigate gear related problem solving issues. Be safe, Ken

That's a great set-up; congradulations. I wouldn't mind having some of those myself, if the rig didn't weight more than I do. Guess I'll stick with my little 85's a bit longer.

Bob and I also dive the doubles as often as possible even when fun-diving so that it always feels natural. And if you fun-dive with us you're also likely to see us going through valve shutdown drills, deploying lift bags, and making simulated deco stops. If you do it all the time as a matter of course it is no big deal when you need to do it.
