Pennyroyal has posted a request for volunteers to help sink and position a 38' cabin cruiser to 90' on March 3. They'll wave the admission fee and provide the air. Any volunteers?

They ask that you post if you'll be there. http://pub19.bravenet.com/forum/1620834354/show/621638

I would love to, but I will be boarding a plane that morning, and leaving the country. I definitly need to get back to Penny Royal again. I really like it down there.

I've been helping out at Mermet for about seven years, and I've been in on a couple of "sinkings." Glen is a expert at sinking stuff. He uses a max number of people for topside support with a min number of divers in the water. Only the most experienced divers are in the water for the sinking. Things can go wrong. You ain't stoppin' 500 lbs lift bags if they get out of control. IMO divers should assess their skills and experience before volunteering for this project. My 2 $/100.

Dennis and Kris, at Pennyroyal, are pretty good at sinking stuff too. They know what they're doing and won't be allowing more divers in the water than is needed (and properly experienced). But it's also a good opportunity for anyone without experience to get a first look at how it's done.
