Ok, the next project I'm working on for the website will be a Dive Site database. Unlike some of the other features, I'm writing this from scratch myself.

It's a long way from being ready for prime time, but I'd like to get some feedback at this point. I've complete the page for entering a new dive site (it's not functional yet but you can see the options).

I'd like to get some feedback on the options for the sites. Is there anything I'm missing that you'd like to see?

Wish there would be some KS dive sites but I don't think stock tanks qualify ;)

Define 'stock tanks'?

If it is divable I don't want to exclude it. Should I add a 'Stock Tank' type?

LOL - don't think that will be necessary to include stock tanks. :) With them closer than one every mile not enough room to list them all.

Defination of a stock tank - a galvanized steel tub usually something like 20 feet in diameter and 2 ft deep - would be tough to get a "real" dive in one.

One of the lakes I go to has a couple of dive shops within 5 miles....it might be helpful to have an xxx miles to dive shop, xxx miles to oxygen, phone, lodging, etc...

Then again that could get pretty busy also.

Actually, what would be really nice would be to develop a dive shop database and have a link that said somthing like "Find shops within ____ miles of this site."

Of course I'd have to find some pretty decent GIS software to do that...

That sounds even better....it is always a contant battle to come up with resources for all the 'it would be cool if I only had this' kind of stuff.
