I got my React Right Instructor card yesterday. One more step for a diver who couldn't imagine doing anything but her OW.

Congratulations and good work!
Everyone should know First Aid and CPR - the skills taught aren't difficult to learn and they definitely save lives. Medical emergencies usually hit pretty close to home, if you ever need the skills the statistics show that the victim will be a family member or close friend. As divers, we are exposed to a number of unusual risks which makes it all the more important that each of us learns some basic lay rescue skills.

That's very true! Just last month I assisted an employee who was having a heart attach.

React Right not Updating to Latest Guidelines
Fort Collins, Colorado -- React Right has decided not to update its Adult First Aid & CPR course to the latest guidelines in the United States. Sales and distribution of instructor products will cease on November 1, 2006 and student products will end on December 1, 2006.
React Right Instructors will have until December 31, 2006 to use up their remaining inventory of materials, and to finish training of incomplete students. React Right certifications are valid until they expire.
There's some kind of crossover program to MFA for instructors but...

I was aware of the change - I had the Instr materials. I thought I would finish the React Right and then do the crossover.
