Ok, during the month of Feburary, I'm going to run a referral contest with a MWD t-shirt as the prize to the person who get's the most referrals for the month.
A couple of rules:
1. No sock puppets. I'll be checking IP addresses to make sure you are not "inventing" users.
2. Referred users must make at least one post to count.
How do I get a referral? There are 3 methods:
1. Manual. When the user registers they can manually enter your username during the registration process.
2. Refer Friends. There is a 'Refer Friends' link at the bottom of every page. This will allow you to send an email to suggest the site. If the recipient uses the link in the email and registers it will automaticly be credited to you.
3. Referral Link. If you go to your user control panel (the 'User CP' link at the top of every screen) you will see "Your referral URL" at the top of the main page of the control panel. Hint: this would be a good url to use in your signature on other boards.
