Just a warning to all thoses that are thinking of comming down for this weekend to dive my local lake. Branson is having the umpteenth annual adderation parade over the weekend and we are to be getting some nasty weather that many of you all might go through on the trip down and the roads will be in some kind of state good or bad, can't say but mostly good in my area. Just have to wait and see what it decides to do with the L pressure that is out there and how it tracks.
Justto let you all know and if you choose not to make th trek I understand since I can only dive Sunday.

but more importantly, how are the lake conditions?

Well they were good. Water temps in the 58 range and I could see the bottom at 20 feet from on top of hte dock. WIht the high winds and rains, no telling what it will do to the uper level of the water and how much run off we will have. Even before it has started raining they have us in Flood watch and a winter weather adivsery but I thikn most will be north of us but it all has to do if the track changes.

SLIM-
Rumor has it you guys got hit pretty good last night, and some roofs have been torn off some of the main attractions. Can you confirm or deny?

Yes we have gotten hit hard with 2-4 inches of rain then 2 inches of sleat and ice and then to get another 1-6 inches of snow and not to get above 20 and satruday night in the single digits.
Yes a local theater did get a roof blown off, a small section.
If I were all you guys, I would cancle the trip this weekend. Lets just say you all come down, I wont be diving. I will be smart and get cought up on something, LOL.

Are you casting aspersions on my smartness since I still plan to come diving this weekend? ;)
This may be my last chance this calendar year to dive TBL! Just finished packing the gear. I'll be the guy walking up out of the lake with icicles dripping off him, just like last February.
BTW-Did you see the spike in flow for RBD?!!

Well, the temps don't concern me. But, keeping the rubberside down does. From the shoveling I have been doing, I am thinking I won't be attempting the drive. I'll wait and see what the weather throws overnight. They are calling for as much as 10" thru the Rolla area.

Well, I decided to not even mess with going to work today.
Wind chill here is 4 deg. right now. I don't think icicles would be dripping off, I think I would be an icicle. You'd have been saying, "I can't believe it takes him over an hour to go to the bathroom!" :-D
Sounds like I-44 was a mess yesterday. I am thinking about getting up and down the hills between Springfield and Hollister.
Too bad. I was looking forward to some more practice.
