I stumbled in here from the Scubaboard. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and figured I should go ahead and register. I live in west KY and do most of my local diving at Mermet Springs. Usually make it to Cerulean and Penneyroyal once or twice a year. I dive year-round and try to make about 100 dives per year. I am open to trying some of the other sites in the area that are within driving distance. I have met and dived with a few of the MuckDivers from the Scubaboard but always need more dive buddies. That's about it. steve

Welcome Steve. I'm hoping to make Penneyroyal on August 6th. Maybe I'll see you there.

Welcome to the Midwest Board. I'm impressed with your diving the year around. You must use a drysuit - which kind? I'm in the market I gotta dive more than a couple times a year.

Yes, I dive dry; I used to dive about 8 months per year before getting my suit. I have a Dacor drysuit; yeah, I know, Dacor isn't a big name in the drysuit market. I bought it on ebay for a little under $500 brand new (I took a chance). As it turns out, the Dacor suits are supposed to be the same as the Dive Rite 905, at least that's what I've been told. I've been 100% happy with the suit. After about 100 dives, it's holding up well with no problems. In fact, I've done a couple of DUI days, and wouldn't trade my suit for one of theirs'. Good luck on finding yourself one; dry is good in 42 degree water.

Welcome Steve. Glad you came over here as well. Hope to blow some bubbles with you sometime. I too hope to make it down to a couple of the dive sites in Kentucky this year.
