I am trying to figure out the best way to pack my camera, strobe, laptop and video camera w/ housing for my trip to Australia in March. I dont want to be dragging around a 70 pound carry on bag for 2 days getting over there and back. I am leaning towards seeing if someone who doesnt have much carry on will help me out. I will be pay them with drinks once we reach our destination.

I don't have much carry on. For drinks (and lodging and airfare) I would be happy to tote your carry on bag for a couple of days.

Bob you lucky dog:
I just checked it out, and carry-on is limited to 40 lbs.
And the security people get very antsy about people asking other passengers to carry something for them.

Don't mean to trump Juls here, but for the same deal, I'll carry your stuff from your house to the boat and back. And, March looks good for me, too.
No kidding, have a great time.
