Come on out. Its the last chance to get wet(or dry) this season.
We will have the BBQ going and I will bring firewood for the warming house.

Last Sunday of the season- you should be able to do a night dive around 5pm :D
Sounds like fun- I'll probably show up.

I have lots of FIREWOOD. I want to get there early to get the warming house. Last year the people that were in there did not want to share the little warming house, but they wanted MY wood..... NO HOUSE NO WOOD :)
But I will bring plenty of wood :) and some charcoal for the grill.

I could go either or both but I am a wet suit non-cavern, non-cave, non-tech... so Im not sure I can hang with you guys?? How's the temp?
do it easy
November 11th, 2006, 12:27 AM
Sure, come on down... I don't dive much below 20 feet (on O2) :D
This is just a guess, but the surface temps are probably in the 50s and the bottom temps are in the high 30s/low 40s. That's do-able in a wetsuit, but you better be willing to share the house with sobfrogg so that you can stay warm in there between dives.

I'll share?

I'll share?
Sure. No problem diving with us at Haigh, you don't need cavern or any of that stuff. The place is neither deep nor difficult. Any problems, I know how to get help from the Russian navy.:D
The warming house is just a room with benches and a fireplace open to everyone.

Hey All. . .
I can dive Saturday, 18th. Can anyone want to dive late? I can't make it down to the quarry until like 1 or 2 pm. . . I don't want to drive down for one dive. :( Hopefully someone wants to do two or three, night dives :).
Let me know.
Thanks,

Well this weekend was a blast! I dove with Ken, Mike and Dawn on Saturday and we enjoyed some of the best vis all year. Temp was 50f and no thermocline. Mike and I even did a second night dive after diving with Dawn.
Today, we had a bunch of fun and a bunch of doubles. I had a chance to talk with Scott, although we didn't get to dive. Thanks for bringing the wood! Duane led us on a leisurely dive around the shallow end. Afterwards I realized that I probably swam too fast on the first dive. Sorry if you got a workout. :D
Ken said he was congested and wasn't going to dive, but I have a feeling that he had to repay a favor to the Russian navy.
We spotted a paddlefish on the first dive today, but Dean said he saw two of them on his second dive.
It was great weekend to end the season at Haigh. Sure it could have been warmer, but that would just mean the season ends in the summer.

It was a great day for diving. The vis was fantastic ans the bluegills are always fun to feed.
Tony it was nice to meet you and get a chance to share the warmth of the fire. Duane nice talking to you also. I am looking forward to the blending class this winter.
I just hope the smoke from the grill was not to thick for the group that had the fancy tent:p
A fine end of the season

It was good seeing everybody again. It was also good to finally meet Scott. Looking forward to that gas blending class. We had some fun dives today. That 110 minute dive really wasted my knees. I guess I'm just getting old!!!

I hope you have as good a time there as I did earlier this year. Great place to dive and great people to dive with! You might want to stay away from Hood Canal however. Oxygen deficiancy in the water has been causing a lot of fish kill. It has been a major, and apparently, man made problem.
