While getting refills yesterday I was asked if I'd be interested in going out to Table Rock the beginning of November...tomorrow I start snivelling to my boss who indicated I have too much vacation time and have to burn off quite a bit before the end of the year...

Not in a wet suit it ain't...
No thermo-gradient, air temp about the same, second dive is a booger.

don't sound like anything a trilam and 7mm couldn't handle
course I guess it helps being naturally warm all the time

Agreed, regul8r, Was in Greers Ferry Lake yesterday and at 75' was comfortable in a 7 mil w/ 6 mil hooded vest...at any rate, I bought a dry suit last month for the preservation of these old bones....

11/07/06 is on a Tuesday, is that when you are planning the dive?
I maybe could make it that weekend before, Fri 11/03 & Sat 11/04.

Looking forward to your report. I am a wuss that doesn't have a dry suit (YET) My dive shop goes to Table Rock in Nov but I haven't been brave enough to go.

Today at TBL
Water temp is 65* at 20 foot with who knows how much vis. Never got deepr then 20 and with the clouds and rain out it had to be 20' plus. Water still nice and clear but now we will have all the run off and have to see what the does.

Is this a LDS trip or can anyone "jump in" for the dives? Shore dives or boat?
What's the plan?
I've got Fri 11/03 off (last day of vacation) Figured I'd either go fishing (Walleye's are on the feed right now), Pheasant hunting, or Diving @ Table Rock.
Tks,
Terry

Yo Wkndbum...
This is a 'recon' for us...I'll have more info later this week, but I'm sure it is in the same spirit as our regular dive at Greers Ferry Lake which is come on!! Scott, our dive Yoda is coordinating with some folks up there, soon as I find out where we're diving at/ out of I'll let you know...SLIM, sounds good, thank you for the info...
more later...Lou

What does this mean? When I think trilam, I think dry suit. When I think 7 mm I think wet suit. I don't understand them together.

trilam is basically a fleece lined skin. Henderson makes them

We left Little Rock ahead od the Friday exodus at 2 pm...the drive up was awesome due to the fall colors...we arrived at the Cricket Creek campground around 6 pm...had the whole place to ourselves...camp fire lit, food cooked...the "Dances with Wolves" went til late...crashed next to the fire, slept well, broke the zipper on my sleeping bag...got up 'early'...hit the marina a little after 8 am...met with some locals...two boats went out...somewhere south of the Branson Belle our boat transmition went out...loaded everything into the other boat and I stayed behind with Scott waiting for the marina to rescue us and bring us another boat...by the time we linked back up with the others they were finishing their dive...only got one dive in...I believe it was called Jack's Island...a sunken cabin cruiser at about 50'...water temp was bearable...vis was 10-15...we decided to come back up some time in the future and stay longer...while heading back to the marina Scott asked me if I was off Dec 2/3...(I work every other weekend) I said I was...ROAD TRIP!!! Heading to Mermet Springs!!! More as it comes in...
