9am. Anyone game?

Quite a crowd at Cannonball: our group of three, another team of two and a non-diver gave us a even half dozen. The other guys didn't bother us; they were riding scooters and diving mix in the lower tunnel.

We put this trip together on the spur of the moment, but we talked just enough to agree that we would all dive wet. We arrived and started unloading and J says, "I ain't got no boots." The man didn't have any boots, he forgot his boots. D says, "I got an extra hood, Steve, you got an extra hood?" J makes both dives with three hoods; one on his head and two on his feet. Sorry, no pictures of that.

Conditions were very good. Vis in the lake was less than 1', vis in the spring was 30-35', temp in the lake was 84* and the spring was 56*. Flow at the entrance was light to moderate. We got in two dives, both about an hour. At one point we were at the top of the pit at the same time as the other team; five hid lights really had her lit up good. Cannonball never fails to amaze me.

We survived the hill and got home early. My wife had picked up pizza and helped me unload. All days should be so good.
