ummmm, newbie w/second question number 2. :D What's a Zoint profile or a Zoint for that matter.

I know it's not something to be smoked ;)

I didn't join yet, but it looks like a more family oriented version of MySpace?

No, it's specificly targeted towards forums. They provide software to hook in (as you've seen) so that people can link their forum id to a central Zoint page.

I've noticed a lot of boards using it lately so I thought I'd try it. In theory it's supposed to help people find forums based on their interests as well.

So far, Becky has said hi to me and I said hi back. 21st. century here we come!
Actually I'm looking for a board with divers from all over the place that I can flame and b.s. to my heart's content. And a lot of crappy advertising would be nice. Think I'll find it?

I'd be a much nicer person if I could get out and dive soon...

Ken, your Hi hasn't come through yet - I just checked. When you find a dive board like that please let me know. I am looking for anything anti-SB.

Sounds like a severe case of NDS (No Dive Syndrome) kinda like PMS.

Err, Becky, I was thinking of SB and being sarcastic. My non-PC, onery, and generally pissy attitude has put me on thin ice over there more than once. Over here too, come to think of it. I would seek professional help but therapists are all (you fill in the blank).
I like Midwest Dive for a number of reasons: the atmosphere is friendly, I know a lot of the regulars personally, and James has his head screwed on right. Many of the friends I made on SB are now over here as well.

I understand completely - I just hate the way SB has become.

I think we have an answer here when the need to vent raises it's ugly head. I have decided that I have come to the age where if I don't want to be PC without being rude I am not going to be.

I just checked and when I click on my name my Zoints profile isn't listed. I have to go to work and figure out other people's computer problems all day, so I'm not going to worry about mine.
