Well it seems our little bout of SB bashing has been noticed by the mods over there. We were all having fun but when a thread here starts prompting SB mods to join our little board to battle it out, well we don't really want that do we?
So I've decided to make it disappear.

Just when it was starting to get fun - not.
I'm glad it's gone.

I think I am kind of glad I missed it.

Reminds me of the time when Pete dropped in on rec.scuba to look for reasons to suspend people. Kind of sad actually.

I completely understand why you've decided to pull the thread, but it's a shame that they're forcing you to bend to their will on your own board.
But hey, I'm sure most people here would rather spend their time planning their next dive rather than their next armchair dive (or sacrificing an open-water diver to the great message board god....)
I'm diving next weekend - anybody else have any plans?
:D

I'm not doing any diving this weekend, and I am looking forward to it. I have put a lot of miles on the body in the last 5 weeks. I need a break. I will be back in the water Labor day weekend at Mermet.

You know you're a hard core diver when you measure your dives in miles instead of minutes!

I am going to sit out this weekend. I have been in the water almost every weekend since April. I hate to say it but i feel kinda water logged.
Besides I have yet to finish my boat and get that in the water. My goal is to be diving off my boat by labor day.. The platform and ladder are kicking my ass.

I'm not diving either, although I would rather be diving. A friend is getting married, so no fun for me.

ROFL that's a good one. Are those nautical miles or land miles?

I'll be diving at Mermet this weekend, DM for an Advanced OW class . . . but I'll be wishing I was at my keyboard telling people to buy a backplate/wing, criticizing them for breathing air while they dive, and telling them it is unsafe to dive with an Air2. LOL.
I've enjoyed many hours and met a handful of great people from Scubaboard--it's a shame it is such a hostile environment. Why can't they be more like us?

I will be at Haigh again all weekend. Rescue and AOW classes. Some friends are also cooking out there on Sunday. Lots of people. Lots of fun!

I need to get back to Haigh, loved the place. Unfortunatly it's not posssible to get there and back without having to pay Illinois gas prices!

That's just how I feel. I still wander over there from time to time, making sure to wear my asbestos skivvies.

I'll be diving at Spring Canyon (the stilling basin) at Lake Meredith here in the Texas Panhandle.
