I was just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this strange problem...

Some of my pictures come out looking like a mosaic! If I wasn't sucha newb to this board I'd post an example pic....

Anyway, I did find a line on thier website that says to " Format without SD card, then Format with SD card, then Format without SD card again" in order to fix the problem.

I'm going to try that when I get home. It doesn't do it on every picture, just randomly.

I've also had problems with the camera malfunctioning after the first dive, Example:

When I was on Maui we did a 2 tank boat dive out to Molokini Crater. First dive was 67fsw max, took some great shots. Surfaced, placed camera in rinse tank for cams until the next dive (never came out of the housing, just turned the power off)... On this dive at 30fsw I took the first pic and the camera "locked up" and wouldn't take another shot.

After getting it back to the hotel room and opening it up, it acted just fine. In fact this year we managed to complete our PADI Dig U/W Photo. cert with it. However, I don't trust this camera anymore. I was hoping that somone may have run into this (and fixed it) before, sealife over the phone was no help :(

I'm never going to be able to convince the wife that I *NEED* a new U/W camera!

Actually, I had this exact same thing happen with my DC310 on my first trip to the Oriskany. I ditched it and went with the Sea and Sea DX750G...I like it a lot better.

hmmm, strange problem. I have their DC500 & absolutely love it! Only problem I've had w/it was the strobe quit firing & when I called the company they said send it in. I got it back in 2 weeks & they had replaced the strobe head altogether. Hmmm, maybe I better check that it's firing.
