View Full Version : Mermet July 1-3 Fun-dives

Will be diving at Mermet this weekend, Saturday thru Monday (and maybe even Tuesday as well).

The class I was scheduled to help with turned out not to be large enough to require 2 Divemasters, so I will be fun-diving the whole weekend. Anyone want to join me?

Current reports of conditions at Mermet are excellent, with 80 F and 15 ft. viz in the very shallow water and 25+ ft. viz deeper than 40 ft. (where of course it gets a bit colder--65 F dropping off to 42 F as you approach very deepest areas.

Any takers?

Had a great 4 days of diving! Excellent conditions, as promised.
Tried out the new gear, did it all deep as stated above.
Love my new Manta Sr. reel for deploying lift bags and doing drift deco while making gas switches. Works well for wreck penetration as well.
Also love the Manta "goodie bag", which is doubling as my keeper for the backup lift bag and snorkle as well as being available to stuff "goodies" into.
DiveRite replaced my slightly imperfect NitekHe computer with a brand new one, which works perfectly and reports depths much closer to the ones I am actually diving at!

Great diving experiences, good friends, very good food. Wonderful Holiday!!

Sorry I didnt make it down...things came up. I was dry all 4 days :eek:

We're sorry you didn't make it, too. But most of us stayed "dry" for the 4 days as well. ;)

Wish I could have made it, but some of us must stay out there and take care of the bafoons that were in town. It was a busy busy day. I know the Marina was busy before the 3rd and will find out how much tomorrow it was over the last 3 days.

Be nice. Some of us is those bafoons on some weekends during the Summer!
