Day 1, me and my buddy was both exhausted from the drive down here. We figured since we was both going on about 2 hours sleep, we should stay out of the caves the first day. I also had some new gear I wanted to try out. We went over to Troy springs to see what it was all about. Nothing special, but it got us wet, andwe got to put a new dive site in the log pages. The place is like diving in a sand storm. The flow is that strong, it is just blowing sand everywhere.
Day 2, after about 15 hours sleep for me, we decided it was cave time. We started out at Orange Grove. We was going to try and make it to Challenge, but my buddy called the dive on thirds before we got there. I think he was still feeling the effects of the drive.
Dive number 2, we went over to Peanut tunnel at Peacock. We dove all the way down to the x-over tunnel, and then turned around and came back. We spent a lot of time in the cavern zone, just looking around. Pretty interesting.
We planne don doing a third dive in Telford, but when we got back there, the place was packed solid with a bunch of kids, so I figured for the safety of my truck, we would pass on that dive, and called it a day.
Day 3, we only had time for 1 dive, so we decided to go to Little River. The flow was strong, and it just wore Mike out, so after about 25 minutes, we called the dive and enjoyed the ride out.
Now, I am sitting here in my hotel room in Pensacola Florida. We are diving the Mighty O tomorrow. I still have to go get the camera ready, and also the video camera. There is some talk around the shop down here that there might be some night diving tomorrow night as well. If so, we are all over that. If not, maybe I will be able to get some Mighty O pictures posted on here.
I'll post more as I do more. Talk to you all soon.
