Lake Conditions???

Will be heading up there to do some diving this weekend, just wondering what Lake Michigan had in store for me. This is my first trip, and I am really excited about it.

Hi Bob. Ya I'm really excited too. just found out my dry suit is ready for pick up SO IM IN. Hell ya. I hurd the lake is really nice right now and this weekend is going to be really nice and warm so the swells should be low. But Call CT Dale and ask him. Hes out there all the time

As of tuesday, the viz was about 10-15 feet on the Mahoning off Port Washington Wisconsin. Temp was uniform top to bottom at 43 degrees. We have had yet more (insert explative of choice) rain which will not help the viz. The marine forecast is for 1 foot or less so dive on!!! Given a choice I would dive one of the deeper wrecks as the viz would probably be better. The Wisconsin, Milwaukee and the Northerner immeadiatly come to mind. Of course I'd dive any of those reguardless of viz, but thats just me. Ha. Have fun and dive safe!

I just returned from 11 days of flat seas in Presque Isle and Mackinaw city michigan. Presque Ilse is the hottest tec area on the great lakes right now. 5 awsome wrecks average depths of 170-180 and we had over 100' of vis. Alan filmed about 5 hours of hi def video over 5 days. Mackinaw city is a great recreational area. we had 30-40 feet of vis here and little current. This area usaly has more current, so the guys were lucky. In genral the lake diving is just awsome again this year. I leave in 2 days for another 9 on the road then back to Two Rivers for a couple of weeks for a grand opening of our new store front.
