I am looking for any kind of info on what to expect diving Ginnie. I thought I heard it was a syphon system. Which system do you recommend us to check out?

Definitely not a siphon. Usually considered high flow. Doesn't really matter if you enter the Eye or the Ear, they go the same place. Known for good vis.

The places you are thinking of are Devils Eye or Ear, not Ginnie Springs. Ginnie Springs is for the ones that are not cave trainied. They can be considered HIGH flow but not to bad. Once you get past the lips it eases up. Just read the cave and you will find the places that let you kick. The closer you are to the celinig the easyer. Do your best to not pull and glide, a bad techniquie to get used to.

Beautiful cave. A little deeper than Peacock, so plan for some deco.

Very high use as well as high flow, so remember your etiquette--exiting divers have the right of way, and be mindful of laying your line out of the way of others.

Have fun,

Deeper than Peacock as in like Little River? How much deeper? 32% still a safe mix for the dive?

EAN 32 is still the standard. Just checked my old logbook, and average depths as far as I went were 70-95 ft.

As SLIM said, once you're past "the lips" its pretty easy going. That first couple hundred feet is where the work and technique come in.

I used to be a local. Devil's Ear/Eye is definately a high flow cave. The Ear can be considered a little bit trickier in the beginning and end because of the flow - watch your bouyancy. I dive it on EAN 32. I recommend not to go during peak time, otherwise, it is normally pretty crowded during the summer. In my opinion, any of the Peacock Springs/Orange Grove caves make for a much more enjoyable dive.
