I am doing my DC dives in July and I have no idea as to what the temp might be. Yes I am a WWW not necessarily by choice - it's just that most of my diving have been in warm water.

Thanks

I have limited TR experience and no SSI experience. But I'd say that at TR in July you'd need 3mil full above and 7mil below the thermocline. If the DC course is anything like the PADI equivalents, then I doubt you'd get below the thermocline.

Water temps in July are great. From surface to about 15 feet it will be int he mid 80's and then the thermocline will be about 25 or 30 foot and temps wil drop down into the mid 60's

Let me know when you are going to be down and I can give you a current water temp and condition report.

Thanks guys for the info. I will be there the 3rd weekend in July (13th thru the 16th). My LDS goes to the Lake the 3rd weekend of each month. They rent houseboats at Kimberling City for the group to use.

I just got back from there, and this weekend was a hot one down there. Vis at the dam was about 10, until the first thermo at about 22 feet, then it opened up to about 15 foot on Friday night. By saturday, with all the classes, it was trashed and was around 5-10 foot again. Opened up really nice at about 50 foot. Vis was probably 20-25 feet, even better in a few places. Temp was also in the 50s at this point. I will have to double check my computer when I go unpack, but I am pretty sure I was getting 44 at 90 foot. I will correct this post if that is incorrect.
