New guy from northern, Il. Got my open water in cozumel, april 11,06. Am getting my nitrox may,8,06 and adv open water is scheduled may 20-21, 06 at Pearl Lake, Il. New but not afraid. Just sorry no one showed me years ago cause now at 56 yrs young I have missed a lot.

Hi and welcome to the Board and to your new addiction. I completely understand what you mean about wishing you had found it sooner. I was 45.

You going through Sea Level Diving? I know a couple of instructors who used to work there. I also got a lot of my students certs through there.

Welcome. Well, seems you are in a good geographic location to 'catch up' :-)
Think it was 48 for me.

Welcome to the board, Nitram. Seems like many of us wish we had started diving younger. Looking back, I can't believe I spent so much time hunting, fishing, and golfing; so many dives, so little time. Enjoy the board. steve
