2 GREAT dives at Mermet today. I really enjoyed them. I was diving with theskull. He is so much better at writing up these dive reports, I'll let him tell you about it if he gets time.

I think DDB writes great dive reports. But since he asked, I'll fill in some details.
Bob & I enjoyed an excellent weekend of diving at Mermet, with 2 dives Friday afternoon, 3 on Saturday, and 1 on Sunday morning. Except for Sunday's dive, all were to the bottom at 100-120 feet, so we also took generous surface intervals--which is why we only got 6 dives in for the weekend. On Saturday's dives, Chris joined us (don't know his screen name). And on Sunday's dive we got to see the new submarine--not a joke, the crew sunk it Saturday evening--a one man sub laying on the bottom just to the west of the railroad car.
Conditions were wonderful below 40 feet deep, with visibility of 15-25 feet and a refreshing 42 F water temp. Visibility was poorer the shallower you went, until at 15 feet deep it was so close that we tended to lose each other during our safety stops (safety swims--I HATE to just hover at the safety stop).
DDB and I were both practicing some tech skills and getting time in with some new gear. Did some dives with stages, compared profiles on our dive computers, deployed a lift bag, and in the evening worked on some deco dive profiles using desktop software.
Looking forward to many more great dives with DDB.
