OK. I'm definitely going. I have a carpool-buddy/roommate lined up.

But I've never been to this area before. Recommend a hotel/motel to me please.

I prefer simple and cheap, but nice enough to be sorta clean without alot of insects.

Motel 6 range of price and quality. Maybe even a tad less. I like to spend my money on the diving. . . and the food.

I'm staying @ the Pointe West Motel/Resort, only a mile or 2 from the dam. Last year it was $55 for dbl, this year $65.

There are a ton of motels about 10 miles away toward Eureka Springs but I've never priced any there.

There is a place (Beaver Dam resort) that rents a couple trailers & a 3 bdrm house but it's pretty pricy.

I think it's pretty hard to find anything less than $50 for a dbl down there.

Wish I could help you with that one TS only thing I can think of is maybe check the Eureaka Springs Chamber of Comerce.

I will be there only Saturday and you will find me at the beach taking care of business. For thoses that have been there will know what I will be running.

Sadly, I will miss this event again this year due to a family matter that requires my attention next weekend. :(

I do need to get to Beaver Lake in the near future, though. So many places I want to dive, so little time. The work thing takes up way too much of my time!
