Will anyone be attending this? I was just curious if I'd be able to meet any other board members there. It is scheduled for April 19-20.

Wish I could. I'd like to learn to repair Scubapro. But my store doesn't sell them, so I can't get an invite.

I've been through one before. I learned a few things. If Scott Dawson does it, make sure to give him a REAL hard time.

Usually technicians from Scubapro (or whatever manufacturer) will come out and give the class. To attend, you have to be sent there by a reseller of the manufacturer. At least that is what I've been told.

Yup PPO2 only been to about 5 or more of them. Scott is good but the best instructor is Rene. He knows more about the regs then even Walt or Jules at Tech Services. SCP is the only brand I keep current with.

Scott can be fun. He teaches a more informal class that is fun.

I believe our area rep, Steve Lamphear, is teaching it.

Rene will be teaching it. I found out today. I went to the Product Knowledge Seminar this evening.

Finished the Class. It was great. I felt like I have been waiting forever to go to this, and it was totally worth it. Packed full of info and hands on training.

Congrats Julie. Bet you did not know how much went through the dynamics of how a regulator operates both piston and diaphram.

Now the fun begins, you are learning to work on them. If some one will let you, just kep working with a experianced service tech and take your time. You now need to ger the book Regulator Savy. Great book and it was written but the formost regulator repair and designer. I bet Renee mentioned it a few times.

Now worries SLIM, Julie's beeen hacking at regs at the dive shops for months now! Hopefully, Renee taught her that a beer soak is not the same as ultrasonic cleaning.

Actually, he did not mention it even once! I have been thinking of getting it for some time now though, since you first mentioned it. I looked on the website and see the Notebook is still $50, but they now have it spiral bound for $29! I think my patience paid off. I can use the savings for more tools!
