Nice article in Dive Training this month on the Oriskany, an aircraft carier to be suck off the cost of Pensicola this year.

I just read that last night. Hoepfully, it really gets sunk this year. I think they have been trying to sink it for 3 years now.

If they get it sunk on schedule, I will be diving it on the week of June 3 to June 10. fingers crossed

It's too bad that it will be so deep - it will be out of reach for most divers. 212' is a long way down.

That ship is hugh, if it lands upright there will be plenty of it in recreational depths.

I wonder how tall it is? It couldn't possibly be more than 60' could it?

After I posted that I thought 'that can't be right'...I guess a ship that's 800' long would have to be way more than just 60'....not the first time I opened my trap without engaging my brain:o
