Isn't Montserrat the island that was wiped out by a volcano a few years ago? I think I met your buddy at Mermet last year, a guy told me he was moving there to open a shop.

That's the one. Troy is the guy who moved there; used to be one of our instructors at The Dive Shop of St. Louis. Montserrat is currently the only tropical destination that interests me--more into the deep cold dark stuff right now.
He is set up and open for business. No boat right now, though; the one he bought in FL sank on the way to Montserrat. Just one of the many obstacles Troy has overcome to put this dream into play. If anyone is looking for another way to not make money in the SCUBA insdustry, starting a dive shop on a tropical island in a foreign country is a good one. It took many years of savings to get this off the ground, and it may be enough to sustain itself. We all have best wishes for him.
BTW, Hi Kent. Do I know you?
