Hi there~
I'm new to this dive forum and my name is jiminiŽ. Been diving since '98 and enjoy diving deep and warm waters... I am certified though PADI Tec/Rec program in 2001 in Utila, Honduras, used to travel there twice a year but money is now harder to have so I have been going to Cozumel once a year. Been to Coz three times since I been certified.
Looking forward to prepping my 27ft Bayliner Ciera Sunbridge for private diveboat for diving the Great Lakes esp. Lake Michigan. Installing 36nm radar, forward dual scan sonar, GPS and final chartplotter electronics to be completed sometime in June. Sorry fellows, NOT FOR HIRE to the general public...you have to go to a bona fide charter boat/dive boat company...
Especially looking forward to traveling and diving from the Hammond Ind. area to Door County, Wisc and beyond this summer for a three weeks dive vacation!
thanks, jiminiŽ

Welcome, Jimini! I'm new also and was glad to find a place to talk scuba somewhat locally.

Hi & welcome to our corner of the dive world. I might be asking a few questions about your boat as Terry is thinking of doing some "remodelling" to ours to make it easier to dive out of.

Welcome to the board. Why do I get the feeling you'll be getting a lot of dive buddy offers come June?

Hi Gang!
I can tell I'm going to have fun with this forum.
The boat is in the works now just ordered the decals (SHARKBAIT) for the transom but waiting to order the warning decals for both sides "STAY CLEAR 150FT DURING DIVE OPERS" along with the four vinyl dive flags decals. Looking for ladders that will work for boarding divers - the boat has a full swimdeck but the orginal ladder just doesn't do it... something deeper with more steps and hand holds..

This will be a first real diveboat that I prep for diving. Looking for simple solutions to most of my problems without spending tons of bucks to get things completed. Mainly tank storage while underway/ divegear storage/ safety gear/ boarding ladder. The Bayliner transom is cut away some for easy boarding over the transom but not by much; getting over the transom with a drysuit on isn't going to be easy - will have to drop the tanks and weights for sure on the swimdeck... And installing a hot/cold shower on the transom for rising off and warming up if one wears a wetsuit... I'll send some pictures when the "SHARKBAIT' is near completion.
By the way I do have my older boat for sale 1980 Sea Ray SRV 225 with a 228 hp MERC. I/O Hardtop... w/easy loader trailer - $5500 or BO Runs good, looks good - good family boat* high sides for small children... Camper enclosure, sleeps four+ easily, stove, new refrig, enclosed head, new VHF marine, am-fm radio, Stored inside this winter. Would consider a smaller trailable outboard boat in trade if its in good condition...
