For those of you in the Chicago area, NBC5 will be having a segment during their Feb 6 10:00 PM news on cold water rescue. Anchorwoman Anna Davlantes heads out onto Lake Michigan to dive with the PSD department of the CFD. She's not bad to look at either. :)

Did anyone ever watch this? I wanted to, then forgot all about it.

I watched it. It was OK. Only lasted a couple of minutes. They talked about how they do rescues in black water and their equipment. They showed the rescue helicopter and the infrared scanning devices they use to find people in the water.

I thought it portrayed Lake Michigan as this murky, dark body of water. All of us know that it isn't the case. It may be like that towards the shore, but not on the wrecks I dive.

it would sound interesting to the average person if they didn't make it sound dangerous.
