Just been busy out at the Marina getting things ready for the season is all. Got a Coz trip mid Feb so that will be tough since it is so close to opening day of March 1. You would think that some think I am a mirical worker and can perform magic with all that has just happened and what we have to get ready for.

I'm cleaning the house getting ready for an appraisal on Monday. Also working a Scuba Review in the pool on Sunday. Also, doing some doubles pool work with a fellow future tech diver from the shop.

I'm in Dallas at a water treatment technical seminar Fri & Sat.

But I'll be diving Sunday in a private lake near Kingdom City. Will let y'all know how it is and whether it is worth trying to gain access to. Diving new sites is a tough, thankless job, but someone's gotta do it. ;)

Just been laying around the house doing as liitle as possible. :D Next week is the week to start thinking about packing for the Florida dive trip!!

Here's the dive report. It wasn't in Kingdom City, there was some miscommunication--it was in Wright City, MO. We dived Alpine Lake in Innsbrook Estates. This is a private lake with access only to property owners and their guests. Too bad, though, because it is a very nice lake with good conditions. We made 2 dives at the dam. Max depth on our dives was 89 ft., but the lake easily goes to 120 ft. or better. Surface temp was 50 F and temp at depth was 39 F. Visibility was app. 15 ft. with a very silty bottom that could be easily kicked up--fortunately my buddy was a good diver who could keep his fins away from the bottom. Features included many very large felled trees, a great deal of huge rocks and piles of brush. We encountered 2 large blue catfish, and I'm told the place is teaming with fish in the summer. Not much booty to find, since this lake is only a couple years old and the access for fishermen is very limited--no anchors, and only a couple strands of fishing line.

Hoping to be invited back when the water is warm enough for the fish to be inhabiting all the submerged trees and brush!
