Hey Everyone!
I'm an open water diver from SE Mich looking to get my AO this summer and am interested in starting some Freediving too. Anyone out there do any freediving in the NW Ohio quarrys? If so please let me know what the best way to get started in this - would like to train over the cold months (indoors) and maybe try it this spring/summer - looking for a training schedule.

Welcome to the board. Unfortunatly we just don't get enough freediving talk here :(. You might want to send a private message to Bindlestitch and let him know you're here!

Welcome to the forum. I am originally from SE Michigan. (Chesterfield Township) I haven't met a whole lot of free diver's but, there is no scarity of dive shops, charters, and local diving spots.

Sorry this is 2 months late in reply, but if you are interested plane2sea, you should probably take a freediving course. I know Jon, one of the Moderators of Deeperblue forums, teaches a class in Wisconsin, and Tanya Streeter also in Texas. It is actually a take off of Tanya's training rutine that I follow, you can find it at http://www.redefineyourlimits.com/.
Work on your static apnea tables, and never dive without a buddy.
I hope this helps you out a little bit.
