Just thought I'd share. Got the initial sketches in for the MWD logo design. I think they look great, can't wait to see what we get when they are colored!

You can find them in our gallery here:

Shameless plug: I'm using Castlemelody (http://www.castlemelody.com/) for the logo design. These guys do great work at great rates. Those of you who drifted over here from ScubaBoard, they also did the ModernInsider logo that Tech Admin uses as his avatar.

I agree those are great. Is there going to be the possibility of tee-shirts and sweatshirts available with this logo? Hope so.

Thanks for the hard work!

When the logo is complete I plan to print up a small quantity of shirts. I'm also thinking of running monthly posting and/or referral contests with shirts as prizes to help get the forums off to a good start.

Ok, I've looked around at this. I want a good shirt (Beefy-T) and I don't want a plain looking single or two color on white. The problem with that is that to do full color printing with silk screening, I'll need to print off at least 100 shirts to get the cost down anywhere near reasonable. Obviously it would be in my best interest to wait until we have a decent user base to print off this quantity of shirt :D.

So, in the meantime, if you are really interested in one, I created one at Zazzle. Zazzle uses dye sublimation which is better than what CafePress uses. They claim that the print will stay on just as well as silk screening. That's their claim, I have no experience with it. They also offer the Beefy-T's and colors that CafePress doesn't.

I made one and had it sent to me and it looks good. If you want one you can order it direct from Zazzle here:

You can select your own shirt type and color, even sweatshirts. I recommend the basic t-shirt in natural or white. They assume anything white should let the shirt color come through so the teeth and eyes don't work on other colors. I did the natural.

Thanks for the info - I just ordered one. I will let you know what it is like when I get it. Interesting link. Thanks again for putting this site together for us landlocked divers.

I wore mine to work today (I'm a computer programmer so the dress code is a little lax.) I have to say I'm really happy with the logo, even if it is a little colorfull.
