Seein's how some of us have to work on Monday morning, and others of us don't, only the latter group got to go diving today. D and I managed to slip over to MO and check out the conditions at Cannonball.
Lake temp was 48 with outstanding vis at better than 5', cave was a comfortable 58 with disappointing vis at 10-15. Air temp managed a high of about 45.
Dive 1 was aborted after about 10 min and P100' due to a gear problem; problem was solved after about 2 min on the surface and the dive continued for a total of 61 min (we got to do the "entrance" deal twice on one dive). Dive 2 went a bit smoother as we cruised back to the pit and rode a gentle flow out, 82 min.
The 10 degree temp change as we hit the lake water will sure wake a guy up; it'll also make a guy watch the computer closely, deco in that lake wouldn't be any fun.
Things got a bit crowded topside as one old-timer climbed down the hill to try his luck at fishing. He was quite interested in our activities and asked, "ya'll take a light in there?"
We had such a large time, I think we'll try it again next week, any takers???
