The contest for December will be Most "Fun" Dives for the month and year. Prize will be an MWD t-shirt in each category. Anyone is allowed to participate (except me).

Here is how the contest works:

Nobody will be able to see responses to this thread except for the moderators until the end of the month.

Please post your entry here by the end of the month. For the purposes of this contest a Fun dive is a dive that was done just for diving, not for any sort of commercial venture or as either a student, DM or instructor in a class.

I was wondering the same thing. I noticed the header said December but then in the post it is backing up to October. I mean, we just started a new month what will happen when we start a new year? Oh wait I will be underwater and underground at the same time when the new year rings in with a couple of my cave buddies.

How did everybody see my response, if nobody is suppose to see responses?

I am at a career low 125 fun dives this year. :(

I'm not even going to post my measly few. Hopefully 2006 will be better!

Yeah so do I. I am behind in dives this year. Only got a few in myself. sitting at 162 but hoping to get about 16-20 more dives in this year. I won't complain that many of them will be with The Skull and a few others in the warm waters of NFL Caves. Already have several that are ready to hook up for dives and plan to take us to a few new places.

I'm at 150 right now, and will probably get in about 15 more in N Florida the last week of December.

Let me know if it's a close count, James, and I'll get you the exact count.

I have 150 fun dives as of today. Have about 15 more planned for the week between Xmas and New Years in N Florida. Will update my total on Jan 2 unless someone has entered a larger number already.

Tonight's night dive will make #12 for this trip, so my year total will be 162 fun dives.

Well as it stands right now we have TS and Slim tied at 162. However TS's count is after the cave trip (did you count the new years dive? That started this year?) Slims count is before the cave trip so I'm guessing Slim is the official winner.

Since the original contest was for a most dives of the month and year and nobody gave any moth figures I'll just give the 2 shirts to TS and Slim. Guys send me a size and address via PM.

K got all my dives figured out. Yes that 162 was before my trip. I was able to log an aditional 16 so I now have a total of 178 dives for the year.

I am sorry that it is so low in count but it will have to do. I promise to do better for the year of 2006 and beat it and see if I can get back on the 200 count.

Yes, I counted the New Years Dive! It STARTED in 2005, at 11:45 pm., and actually, it ended in 2005 if you go by Central time zone ;)
