Hello from St. Louis. Thought I'd sign up and say "Hey"
I have been diving three years. Started with Diver Dick and Slim at Table Rock.
Most diving has been fresh at Table Rock and Norfork.
Did a Cozumel trip and hope to do another as they get things back together.
Dove Rock Divers Quarrry in Huntsville, AL,
Recently did a Cavern Class with Slim at Roubidoux.

Hi Jim!

Welcome to the board!

Watch out for some of these unscrupulous types around here, especially MgicTwnger, general troublemaker, and DeepdiverBob, who keeps promising pizza but never delivers....

Hi Jim, welcome to the board. Several St. Louis area divers hang out here. How about that Slim; he's quite the character, isn't he??

I have no idea who this guy is, I have never seen him before in my life. I do not know anything a bout him or his family or his diving. I think he is mistaken.Nope Jim a good guy, one that I am pleased to call a student and proud of how he has turned out.SLIM

That's a great bunch to learn from and dive with down there at Table Rock. And some wonderful dive sites on the lake when you have boat access!

Hope to dive with you soon, Jim,

Hi Jim-

Welcome to the board!

Congratulations on Cavern. Did I read previously that you had a legendary instructor who taught you to swim into Roubidoux backwards with one fin tied behind your butt with a flow rate of 10+.

Well, welcome to the board!

I have too extensive of an e-mail list to ever be desperate for dive buddies! But I'm always interested in diving with someone new and adding to that list.

Will be looking for some Table Rock dive buddies in Jan or Feb. Do you dive dry? If not, we'll have to get together some time around May. ;)

skull,

Not just yet. Only a speciality class in a dry suit, but after the Quail Run Pumpkin carving and RBD Springs the next day, I am even more motivated to get one. And, I'd like to get that equipment down pat so I can move on to the cave phases. It is nice to know if I get dry that I'll be able to find folks to dive with...which has crossed my mind when I think about dropping that kind of cash.

Jim

Hey, we'll dive with ya even if you want to dive wet; it's just that you'll be a lot more comfortable dry.

I got one bud that dives wet year-round. He ain't right, though.

Steve,
Yeah, I have found that the second dive on a chilly November day is hard to jump into. SLIM will tell you about a somebody at Table Rock that does that in a shorty...and appears to enjoy it!

Are you from KY? I am originally a KY boy, myself.

OMG, he is talking about AJ, I know that The Skull has done many dives with him when he has been down. This ole guy ( notice I used OLE and not OLD) even if he is old. WIll dive thought out the year almost with a 3/2 shorty. Yes he will even go down in the thermocline and hang out wiht no hood or gloves. He is even known to hang out at 100' for several minutes and dive in teh 60-80 area same thing no hood or gloves just his 3/2 shorty.SLIM
