I was there! I bought a ticket from a scalper for just a few bucks over face value....too good of a deal to pass up. Of course I picked the longest game in the history of the worls series to go to. And the wrong team won!

I watched off and on. I finally went to bed after Berkman grounded out to short to end the 13th.

Way cool! But I have to agree with Joe the wrong team won. I hate to see the World Series won in 4.

Ther also goes the theory that it is rigged to go extra games so more commercial revenue can be gained.

Strange happenings - the Bambino curse is broken, the Black Sox curse is broken - now the Goat next year (whatever that is - I can't find any info).

The first curse occured when the World Champion Red Sox sold the contract for a star pitcher named George Ruth to the then hapless New York Yankees. The pitcher went on to great fame, the Yankees have been routinely winning the World Series ever since and the Red Sox couldn't buy a title - until last year.

The second curse occured a couple of years later when 8 players on the White Sox took money to throw the World Series. Subsequently, they have been unable to win a Series - until this year.

The third curse occurred during WWII when the Cubs were in the World Series and a local tavern owner was ejected by the Cubs from a game because he brought a goat along as a good luck charm. The Cubs haven't won a Series since, but the Billy Goat tavern has thrived. Wait until next year...
