Kind of alng the same lines as the other thread, but slightly different, hence the new thread:

How often do you lube the light o-rings and wax/clean your zippers?

Lube light o rings about every 15 dives... Should do it more... Usually, when they are hard to twist I lube em...

Zipper I clean and lube after every trip....

for the HID light, i lube the oring every time i charge it, but this is usually just a quick swab with a q-tip and some grease

for the backup lights, i lube "occasionally", maybe once a month, or before big dives when i want to be sure that they're working

zipper and dryglove seals- before every trip

Gosh.

I lube the light o-rings about evey other year--whether they need it or not.

I wax the drysuit zipper before almost every weekend trip, unless I'm in a hurry. Clean the zipper? How does it get dirty?

I lube the o-rings pretty much every time I need to open them. Lately, that's been almost every dive

I wash the drysuit semi-regularly and that pretty much takes care of the cleaning. Otherwise, if I see wax building up, I'll take the toothbrush to the zipper. I rewax the zipper every couple of dive and I treat the seals several times each year.

I lube the orings when I think about it. Which is um...rarely.

I'd like to say I do the zipper after every session but well, it's just about all I can do to get it hung up before I find the wine ;).

Hopefully I will take better care of my lights when I get more expensive ones. Speaking of which I checked out some LED canister lights at DEMA. The curent "next generation" LEDs are getting close to HID. From what I understand the next "next generation" is supposed to get there....things that make you go hmmm....

Lights, I inspect the O-ring that is on the Lid of the canistoer each time I open and close the light. The 0-ring's that are used on the light head that seals the test tube, ummmm well I guess I should say that I have never opend it up just to cleanand lube them. If it aint broke why fix it. Each time it is opened you put grease or anything on it you can cause it to attract stuff that will work on the O-ring and might cause it to leak.

Dry suit Zipper. Guess I do clean the teeth now and then and waz it once or twice a year. If the sipper is cared for to start the need to do as much maintance as some do actually casuses early wear to it then you must keep waxing it or it does start to get difficult to use. Have several years and dives on the dry suit I have and my HID lights have not only many dives but also many years with great reliablity. Only once did I have a problem and it was fixed because of the cord.
