I've done some test runs on this and I think we will be ready to move the site to a faster/more reliable server next Saturday. At the same time we will upgrade to a newer version of the forum software.

We will be going down Saturday morning (October 22nd) and will likely be down for several hours. When we come back up it will be on the new server. With the major software upgrade I expect we'll be about 95 percent functional. Certain things, especially the articles will take a little more time as I'll have to implement a new article system.

Initial testing with the new site show that pages are loading about 4 times faster! The biggest features added to the new software are from the administration side (making it easier to customize without having to jump through hoops when it's upgraded), however there are some nifty new features for users as well.

The best news though is that after the move we will no longer be at the whim of Ameren NoE and Charter No Business Services :).

That is great. I will be in Missouri next weekend, so the timing is excellent as well!

I will be working a rescue class Saturday, and then going to the pumkin carve. Might be going to RBD on Sunday, dont know for sure yet.

Just reminding everyone that the board will be down tomorrow for the upgrade.
